History
Alexandra De Markoff was started in 1930 and purchased by Charles of the Ritz in 1940. Charles of the Ritz brands including Alexandra De Markoff were sold in Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus in the 1950's. In 1963 Charles of the Ritz acquired Yves Saint Laurent and continued to produce cosmetics and fragrances until the late 1970's.
