On February 11, 2010, authorities in London discovered the body of fashion designer Alexander McQueen. He died of an apparent suicide. McQueen was found at his apartment and it's believed that he hanged himself.
McQueen's death comes just days following the death of his mother, and nearly three years following the suicide of his close friend and muse, Isabella Blow.
Between 1996 and 2003, McQueen was named British designer of the year four times.
