Alexander Johnson

Alexander Johnson is a professional basketball player, currently playing for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. Johnson signed with the Heat as a free agent in 2007.

Transaction History

Johnson was drafted by the Indiana Pacers as the 45th overall selection in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft. The Pacers then traded him to the Trail Blazers for the rights to James White and two future picks. The Trailblazers then traded Johnson to the Memphis Grizzlies for a future 2nd round pick. In 2007, Johnson signed a two-year contract with the Heat.

Scouting Report

Johnson is an accomplished rebounder and a tough post defender, and he has the athleticism and leaping ability to block shots. Offensively however, Johnson is relatively undeveloped. His aggressive style causes him to get into frequent foul trouble.Draft Express: Alexander Johnson (June 1, 2006)
