Alexander Auld is a professional ice hockey player for the NHL Phoenix Coyotes.
Career Highlights
Auld began his career in 1997 in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, then moving to the Ontario Hockey League that same season. In 1999, Auld was drafted 40th overall in the NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. He continued to play in the OHL through 2001, when he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks. Auld split the next several seasons between the Canucks and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose. He also made several appearances on the Canadian National Team, including in the Spengler Cup and in the Ice Hockey World Championships. On June 23, 2006, Auld was traded to the Florida Panthers. He played one season with the Panthers, then entered free agency, signing with the Phoenix Coyotes on August 13, 2007. Most recently, on December 6, 2007, Auld was traded to the Boston Bruins.
