Alex Smith is a National Football League quarterback currently playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

College Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Smith played college football with the Utah Utes in the NCAA. He started three seasons, earning a 21-1 record as a starter, plus a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 6.1-1. NFL Career
The 49ers drafted quarterback Alex Smith with the first overall pick in 2005.
