Alex Rios is an Outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays. Rios was drafted by the Blue Jays in the 1st round of the 1999 amateur draft (19th overall selection). He was a top prospect within the Blue Jays organization until 2004 when he made the most of an opportunity to play for the Blue Jays in the majors. In 2004 Rios had a .286 BA, with 28 RBI, 55 Runs Scored, and finished the year fifth in the voting for Rookie of the Year. Rios has improved every year since he broke into the majors, making the All-Star team in 2006 and 2007. Rios has solidified himself as one of the cornerstones of the Blue Jays' franchise.
