On May 17, 2008, La Crosse, Wisconsin police arrested 17 year old Alex Phillips after nude photos of a 16 year old girl were discovered on his MySpace page.
When police confronted Phillips, telling him he could go to jail for posting the pictures, he forcefully stated that he would keep them online.
The female in the case, known only as "HLK" informed police that she had taken the photos using her cell phone. She had sent them to Phillips, her boyfriend, using email.
During his arrest, Phillips waived his Miranda Rights and answered police questions. He said he had posted the pictures to vent because he was mad at the girl.
