Alex English is a retired professional basketball player. He played sixteen seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). English's position was small forward. He played for the University of South Carolina in college. English was drafted in the second round of the 1976 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. English currently serves as an assistant head coach with the NBA's Toronto Raptors. He has been with the Raptors since 2004. He previously was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks.

NBA Career
English was drafted in the second round of the 1976 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. In his rookie season, English averaged 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/e/englial01.html English then signed as a free agent with the Indiana Pacers in 1978. He averaged 16 points and 8.1 rebounds in his first season with the Pacers. In his second season, he averaged 14.9 points and seven rebounds. English was then traded to the Denver Nuggets in 1980.
