On April 4, 2009, Da Silva was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting four female dance students. Da Silva was held on $3.8 million bail. He was released on April 7 because there was insufficient evidence to support the charges. Rape Accusations
Da Silva was arrested after teaching a dance class in Hollywood, on April 4, 2009. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 three woman accused Da Silva of sexual assault but prosecutors never filed charges. On March 28, 2009, another woman claimed Da Silva lured her into his home and raped her. During the investigation, detectives re-interviewed the previous accusers and found similarities in their stories. The women did not know each other.
