Alex Auld is an ice hockey goaltender who plays for for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the second round of the 1999 NHL Draft, Auld is a well-traveled goaltender, having played for eight different teams in his NHL Career. 2010-11 Season
On the first day of free agency of the 2010 offseason, Auld signed with the Canadiens to a one year contract. Auld immediately slid into the backup role behind starting goalie Carey Price. 2009-10 Season
Auld began the 2009-10 season with the Dallas Stars as the backup to starting goalie Marty Turco. Auld would appear in 21 games for the Stars, with a 9-6-3 record. The majority of Auld's career was spent playing for the Vancouver Canucks, the team that Auld started his career with.
