Alessandra Ambrosio is a Brazilian supermodel and Victoria's Secret Angel.

Ambrosio's professional modeling career began when she won the Elite Model Look contest in Brazil at the age of 15. From there she landed a high profile campaign with Guess which fast tracked her to supermodel status. She has since established herself as one of the world's busiest models with successful campaigns for Victoria's Secret, Calvin Klein, Gucci and others. She has appeared on the cover of over 50 international magazines and was chosen as one of People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People in the World in 2007.

Alessandra Corine Ambrosio was born April 11, 1981 in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her parents, gas station owners, were of Polish and Italian descent. Inspired to model at a young age, she began her career at the age of 15. She has since established herself as one of the most successful models working today. She uses her celebrity status to support causes such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and in her free time enjoys dancing and surfing. She is reportedly best friends with fellow supermodel Ana Beatriz Barros and on March 7, 2008 she announced she was pregnant with the child of boyfriend Jamie Mazur.
