Located 20 miles east of Fredericksburg, the ghost town of Albert, Texas was listed as "for sale" for the negotiable price of $833,000 in 2009. The 13 acre town features an 85-year-old dance hall, an ice house stocked with cold beer, a creek, pecan and peach orchards and is adjacent to a limestone schoolhouse which was attended by former President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1921.
