Albert King

Albert King was a popular Blues guitarist and performer who became an inspiration to a generation of young blues guitarists, such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

While King started out with a few minor hits in the late 1950s, it wasn't until he signed with Stax Records that he started to shine. Paired with the legendary rhythm section of Booker T. & the MGs, King released his most famous album Born Under a Bad Sign in 1967. While King began incorporating more Funk elements to his music during the 1970s, he never lost the Blues edge that made him famous.
