Early Life and Career
Born in El Paso, Texas but raised in Plano, Tudyk started off studying drama at Lon Morris Junior College between 1990 and 1991. He would continue his studies at Julliard in 1993, but leave the program before earning his degree. He made his big screen debut in 1997's 35 Miles from Normal. He then played supporting roles in various films and TV shows including Ice Age and Frasier until starting his popular role on Joss Whedon's Firefly series in 2002, followed by the movie Serenity. More recently he provided the voice for Sonny in the sci-fi drama I, Robot, played Simon in the black comedy Death at a Funeral, Alpha in Dollhouse and Dale Maddox in the remake of the classic TV show V.
