Alan Scherr and his 13-year-old daughter, Naomi Scherr, both of Virginia, were killed in the November 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India. Their deaths were confirmed by the U.S. State Department on Friday, November 28, 2008. The Scherrs were reportedly killed while dining at the Hotel Oberoi on November 26, 2008. They were traveling with a group of about two dozen people from the Synchronicity Foundation in Virginia.
