Alan Russell is the director of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Distinguished Professor of Surgery, Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

Career
Dr. Allan Russell began his career as a research fellow for NATO at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987. In 1989, Russell joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, first as an assistant professor and, in 1995, as the Nikolas DeCecco Professor of the chemical and petroleum engineering department. As the director of the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Russell has achieved notice for his work in human tissue regeneration.Titles
