On September 29, 2009, Grayson used poster boards to describe his interpretation of the Republican Party's health care plan on the House floor. The cards began with: "Republican Care Plan: #1. Don't Get Sick" followed by "Republican Health Care Plan: #2. And If You Do Get Sick..." and finally "Republican Health Care Plan: #3. Die Quickly."
Grayson's presentation drew criticism from Republicans and Rep. Tom Price threatened to submit a resolution of disapproval alleging Grayson's conduct "was a breach of decorum and degraded the integrity and proceedings of the House." The resolution was not submitted and Price's aide said he was going to give Grayson a chance to apologize.http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/09/30/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry5353632.shtml
Grilling the Fed on the Bailout
On January 13, 2009, Grayson questioned Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Donald Kohn on specifics of how and where money from the $1.2 trillion in bailout funds had been dispensed. Kohn said "if we published the individual names of who was borrowing from us, no one would borrow from us." Grayson, who argued that the American people have a right to know where the money is going, fired back: "Has that ever happened? Have people ever said we won't take your $150 billion because people might find out about it?"Huffington Post: Fed Official Confronted Over Bailout Spending Secrecy (January 14, 2009) YouTube Video: ...Congressman Alan Grayson Grills Fed Vice Chair Donald Kohn
