  • If you are a history buff and plan on being in Texas, why not take a trip to the Alamo? Located in San Antonio, the Alamo played an important part of the Texas Revolution, and is the site of the historic 1836 battle between Santa Anna and the Alamo's 200 defenders. Among those defending the Alamo were Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and Colonel William B. Travis. Although the Alamo is free, it cannot operate without the support of public donations. This page will provide you with information and links on the Alamo, as well as suggested donations for your visit.

    • Open daily Monday through Saturday: 9:00am-5:30pm
    • Sunday: 10:00am-5:30p.m.
    • Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, December 24 and 25
    • Hours are all Central Standard Time
