Alabama dominated in the game, much from the help from several critical errors made by Florida, to win the game with a score of 31-6. Florida had four turnovers in the game, coming from one fumble and three interceptions by quarterback John Brantley. The Gators' offense was nearly completely shut down in the contest, with the Crimson Tide limiting them to only two field goals.http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=302750333 Following the game, Alabama solidified their top ranking in the country while Florida dropped to 14th in the AP College Football Poll and 12th in the USA Today Coaches Poll.http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/week/6

In a reversal of recent years, Alabama entered the game as the top-ranked team and favorite. The Florida Gators look to pull the upset, unseat the Crimson Tide and help to secure their Bowl Championship Series bid. The Gators however will be without quarterback Tim Tebow, who left the team after the 2009 season to enter the National Football League.http://espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=302750333
