Al Harris is a National Football League cornerback for the Miami Dolphins. Harris was sidelined for part of the 2008 season with a spleen injury, but returned to the team on November 2, 2008, as the Packers fell to the Tennessee Titans. Despite the trade rumors, Harris would indeed return to the Packers in 2009, playing in 10 games during the season. Football Career
Harris was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He was released before he could play with the Buccaneers and picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles. Following the 2002 season, Harris was traded to the Green Bay Packers. Harris finished the 2007 season with two interceptions and 33 tackles.
Harris began to have issues with injuries during the 2008 season, when he injured his spleen. He would play in just 12 games in 2008 and 10 games in 2009, registering just two interceptions in those two years.http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HarrAl21.htm
The Packers released Harris on November 8, 2010, after Harris did not play in a game up to that point in 2010. He would sign with the Dolphins two days later and played in his first game with the team on November 14, 2010, against the Titans.
Adrian Peterson Hits Al Harris
The Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have one of the most bitter rivalries in the National Football League. In a Monday night game played between the teams in 2008, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson ran over Harris on a running play that went for a first down. Harris was not injured on the play.
