  • AKA New York was created in 2004 by ELLE fashion editors Abigale Levinson, Karen Reinitz, and Ana Maria Pimentel. They decided to start their own line of clothing that was fashionable and readily available. With years of experience with ELLE magazine they felt they had what it takes to build a successful fashion brand.

    Their philosophy was to create strong unique styles with straight forward sensibility. They looked at each piece in ways that they would want to wear them, creating clothing that promotes personal style while combining comfort and fashion.

    AKA New York has become a popular clothing line among the Hollywood starlets, such as, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez, Carmen Electra and Mischa Barton
