Air France is a subsidiary of Air France-KLM and a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance that provides air transportation to 20 destinations within France as well as 150 international destinations in 83 countries. Air France was formed on 7 October 1933. Air France's headquarters are located in the Roissypôle complex on the grounds of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport near the city of Paris. In November 2004, Air France was ranked as the largest European airline (market share: 25.5%), being the largest airline in the world in terms of operating revenue.
