On February 22, 2010, a shooting and a fatal car crash were reported at the Luke Air Force Base in Litchfield, Arizona.
According to initial reports, two men in a car rammed through the main base entrance gate at just past 11:00 PM local time. The Glendale Police Department indicated that the car in question had been stolen, and that a security forces officer attempted to make contact with the two men in the car. The driver then attempted to run over the officer, and the officer in turn fired shots at the car, causing it to crash.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,587217,00.html
One unidentified man was killed, but his cause of death was not yet determined. The other man was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
