The technology for an air car is being explored by a European company known as MDI. In May of 2009, reports said U.S. manufacturer Zero Pollution Motors hoped to bring an air-powered vehicle to the American market by 2011. Future Potential
A hybrid version of the car can go about 3000 miles on one tank of gasoline or biofuel. It is reported that a recent partnership with Tata, India's largest car manufacturer, will help popularize the vehicle and allow it to go into mass production. In addition, an American company, Zero Pollution Motors, has been licensed to produce the car as well.
