    Their style is often referred to as Electronica, though their music also contains elements of rock, pop and psychedelia. Dunckel and Godin started playing together while attending college in Versailles in the 80's.

    In 1995 the duo released their first, "Modular Mix", on the Source record label. Their debut album, Moon Safari, was released three years later on the Astralwerks. The album was a critical and commercial success. They have released four albums since, the soundtrack for the The Virgin Suicides film, 10 000 Hz Legend], Talkie Walkie, and 2007's Pocket Symphony.
