Aimee Mann is a singer/songwriter known for playing the rock guitar as well as the bass guitar. Having previously won a Grammy Award, Mann has enjoyed success and recognition throughout her career which began in 1982 and continues into the present. After attending the Berklee College of Music for a period of time, Mann eventually formed a punk rock band called The Young Snakes.

Along with her then boyfriend Michael Hausman, she formed 'Til Tuesday—a rock band based in the Boston area that found success with its first album, Voices Carry.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005181/bio The song and music video of the same name became very popular, particularly on MTV. The song ended up receiving an MTV Music Video Award in 1985.

Most recently, Mann has been involved in what appears to be a dispute with rapper Ice-T. On April 8, 2010, shortly after midnight locally, Mann made a comment through her Twitter account which read: "Christ, there is no reason in the world anyone should ever have cast Ice T in a television show."http://twitter.com/aimeemann/status/11811247020 Her twitter account—@aimeemann—appears to have the default settings in place, meaning her comment that night was posted publicly and available for viewing by anyone.

Ice-T, upon reading her comment, fired back at Mann at 9 AM the same morning. Under his Twitter account @FINALLEVEL, Ice-T said, "Hey @aimeemann stop worrying bout my acting bitch, and worry about your WACK ass music. In the mean time.. Eat a hot bowl of Dicks! Ice T".http://twitter.com/FINALLEVEL/status/11830397783 He made this post just nine hours after Mann's original tweet.

Mann then posted the following three messages on twitter:

In reply to these posts, Ice-T eventually declared the feud over by posting: "OK. Homegirl apologized....... Say no more. FLTG Cease fire! "Once again there's Peace in Twitterland."
