AIDS South Africa

Since an epidemic was first declared in 1985, HIV and AIDS infection is a continuing public health crisis in South Africa. It currently has the most infected people out of any country. And although it has equipment to treat the disease, South Africa cannot effectively provide that equipment to all the infected people.

  3. 1995: South Africa hosts the First International Conference for People Living with HIV and AIDS
