Aida Turturro is an Italian-American actress best known for her role as Janice Soprano on the HBO mob drama The Sopranos. She is cousin to the well-known film actor John Turturro and has landed a number of movie roles herself, including parts in Sidewalks of New York, Deep Blue Sea and Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles. Turturro also acted in the 1997 season of Cosby and the 1998 season of the long running soap opera As the World Turns. She was nominated in 2001 and 2007 for Emmy Awards, and won a 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award, along with the rest of the Sopranos cast.
