    Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed arrived in the United States from Egypt to attend school in 2007. In August, he was arrested when he was pulled over during a traffic stop because of he was speeding. During the stop, police officers became suspicious and inspected the vehicle, finding bomb making materials in the trunk. Mohamed and his passenger, Youssef Megahed, were both arrested. Later it was discovered that Mohamed had a 12 minute video detailing how to use a remote control car as a detonator on his laptop.
