Agrimony

Agrimony is an herbaceous perennial native to Europe, Western Asia and Northern Africa though it now grows wild in most of the US and Canada. It can be found all across its range in open areas and hedgerows. The stem and leaves are fuzzy with more fuzz on the bottom of the leaves giving them a silver appearance. The leaves are serrated and pinnately divided. Upper leaves display more division than the lower ones. The yellow flower spikes are about 20 inches tall and appear midsummer through early autumn. The root is a black woody rhizome. The entire plant has a sweet citrusy scent.
