Age of Zombies is a horror action-adventure video game that was released on February 25, 2010 for the PSP platform. Rated T for Teen, the game was developed and published by Halfbrick Studios. Another version of the game was announced under the name of Zombies, for the Xbox 360, however, this version has an unknown release date, and the rating is still pending. Halfbrick Studios is also responsible for the following games:

• Avatar - The Last Airbender: Into the Inferno – a video game for Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii, released on November 12, 2008;
• Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth - a video game for GBA, released on October 16, 2007;

In Age of Zombies the main character, Barry Steakfries, is desperately trying to stop the zombie infestation started by Professor Brains. The hero uses time portals to travel to different locations and time seeking the mad scientist.

According to the official website, the development team tried to find many different ways to kill zombies. They focused on exotic locations to place the zombie’s infestations that will appear in the game. The game’s lead programmer stated:

Age of Zombies is an action game that requires “fast fingers” in order to kill all the zombies within a level. Barry Steakfries can use different weapons and explosives to overcome the infestation, but the player has to move the character all the time and fire as fastest as he can. Advancing in the game will unlock new weapons, upgrades and useful items. The player has the chance to fight against zombies, mummies and other undead creatures. Pistols, grenades, flame-throwers or rocket launchers are just some of the weapons you can use to create the ultimate zombie carnage.

Age of Zombies is the first game of this series. Halfbrick Studios has made no official announcements regarding a follow up to this game.
