Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome is a real-time strategy game developed by Ensemble Studios for the PC and is an expansion pack for 1997's Age of Empires . The game features four new additional civilizations, new units, new technologies and new campaigns, including the campaign that focuses entirely on the Roman Empire.
