Professions in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, are crafts or trade skills that player characters may learn regardless of their primary character's class or race.

1. Weaponsmith: Craft various types of weaponry including swords, staffs, daggers, and crossbows
2. Armorsmith: Craft various pieces and types of armor
3. Alchemist: Mix potions in vials and see how the results affect other characters
4. Architect: Learn to draw plans for city-building
5. Gemcutter: Turn gems dropped by monsters into powerful enchantments that can be placed into other crafted items to make them more potent

At or above Level 20, travel to Poitain, Laceish Plains or Purple Lotus Swamp to learn one of the gathering professions. Attempting to harvest any material higher than your current level is not allowed. You will be told that you don't have the necessary harvesting skill.

1. Mining: Gather copper, tin, iron, orichalcum, blue iron, etc. You can learn mining from Yvanno in Poitain at location 1278, 1525
2. Prospecting: Gather silver, electrum, gold, illustrium and platinum. Simione in Poitain at location 1287, 1497 will teach you how to prospect
3. Skinning: Harvest different types of leather after you have learned this craft from Iathos in Poitain at location 1305, 1551
4. Stonecutting: Gather sandstone, granite, basalt, adamant and obsidian.
5. Weaving: Learn weaving from Brienne in Poitain at location 1248, 1482 to harvest cotton, wool, flax, bloodflax and cottonwisp
6. Woodcutting: Gather various kinds of wood such as ash, yew, oak, soulwood and amberwood after you learn woodcutting from Taronus in Poitain at location 1291, 1555
