There are four archetypal classes in Hyborian Adventures: Priest, Soldier, Rogue and Mage. Not all classes are available to all races. Archetypes within each class are also named differently for each race and offer different spells and abilities in addition to their cultural and ethnic differences.

Age of Conan is set in a low fantasy, pseudo-historical ancient world called the Hyborian Age. The world is filled with cruel gods, mythical creatures, lost civilizations and a struggling human race. Although Conan is the current king, he is losing his hold on the people. It is up to you to carve out your place in history.Classes
There are four archetypes: mage, priest, soldier and rogue. These are then broken up into the various classes based on the character's race. The races play a big part in the appearance of your character as well as what types of skills they receive. Class, on the other hand, determines your abilities in combat.
