The Assassins are one of the 12 classes in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. The assassins can only be played by the Stygian or the Aquilonian race. Assassins are deadly due to their high offensive skills and stealthiness. To counterbalance their impressive offensive stats, they have weak defenses and can only equip silk clothing. The Lotus Master and Defiler classes merged to create the Assassin.

To begin combat, assassins sneak up on the enemy and perform a directional stealth attack. This attack does very high damage and even has a chance of a critical hit. For enemies that have heavy armor or high defense, the assassin can employ several skills that can decrease their invulnerability ratings. They can follow the three different paths: Rogue gives them the basic skills that all rogues have, Lotus relates to the use of poison and Corruption focuses on combat and unholy damage.

1. Can wield two daggers
2. Option of either bonus poison damage or unholy damage
3. Can do damage-over-time
4. Inflicts damage that disorients the enemy
5. Creates restorative elixirs
6. Creates slowing poison
