The Lowdown East Pass

1. Move along the rocky path until you get a brief overview of the area.
2. Keep going and you'll learn two new skills. To execute the Bullet Slice, enter In Focus mode, then execute a Vertical Perfect Slice when the bullet gets close. Execute the Bullet Reflect with a horizontal slice while In Focus.
3. Achievement: Head towards the platform on which the sniper stands. Climb up the wall by pressing A while jumping toward it. Don't kill the sniper yet. Instead, head to his left, to the slightly raised platform. If you're far enough away, the sniper will start shooting bullets back. Use Bullet Reflect to hit one back at him, killing him and giving you "I am Rubber".
4. Jump back down to the rope below; it is shimmering to make it more visible. Approach it and hold LT to go In Focus. Hold Y and let go just as your blade starts to shimmer to slice the rope. This won't work if you wait too long.
5. A group of enemies will attack, including a tough guy with a big blade who shows up behind you. As soon as this happens, run towards the first enemy in the group and unleash a short combo, followed by a Horizontal Perfect Slice, killing him instantly.
6. Turn to the enemy to your right and kill him in the same manner, then retreat towards the valley where you started the level.
7. Once you've gained some comfortable breathing room, turn back to face the enemies. When the big guy comes towards you, hit him with a few X attacks followed by a Vertical Perfect Slice right after you knock him off his guard.
8. Keep hitting him and the surrounding enemies with combos, followed by Horizontal Perfect Slices. This should take care of them all.
9. Return to the sniper perch and head to the right. You can now jump on the statue's lowered hand. Follow this path, which leads along a raised platform above the valley where you entered this area.
10. Two enemies lie ahead. They are easily defeated in any number of ways, so take care of them and keep moving. Do not slice the two boxes ahead. They will explode and hurt Afro.
11. Slide down into the next area. A few enemies will appear, along with a sniper.
12. Achievement: Here's a good place to get "You Are Glue." Position yourself so one of the enemies is slightly behind you and wait for the sniper to fire a bullet. Go In Focus and perform a Bullet Slice by doing a Vertical Perfect Slice when the bullet gets close. If one of the shards hits a nearby enemy, you'll get the achievement.
13. Kill the rest of the enemies on this level, then head for the sniper. You can reach him by jumping up the series of platforms in front of you.
14. After he's dead, drop back down. In the front right corner of this area, there's a Memento.
15. On the ground here, there are three cranes that need to be moved. Each is controlled with a lever attached to a wooden post. Just look for the sparkling icons that mark their location and kick them to move the crane.
16. Jump up to the second platform that leads towards the sniper perch. Turn left and jump to the big stone that's held by the crane. Leap along the set of stones.

1. Three enemies will approach as you cross the next bridge. Dispatch of them quickly with combos followed by Horizontal Perfect Slices.
2. At the other side of the bridge, cut the rope in the same way that you did the first one. Then, take the ramp that leads up and to the right.
3. At the end, jump down to the platform below and turn right. You'll notice the this is the way you came from, with the exploding crates. Head back this way until you see the leader of the Empty Seven. He'll summon a whole bunch of enemies to fight.
4. Though there are many of them, they're not too aggressive. You can practice a variety of combos here, or take them down quickly with combos followed by Perfect Slices. For the "Three-Way" Achievement, try weakening a few of them with regular attacks, then lining them up with one Horizontal Perfect Slice.
5. Once they're defeated, a bigger enemy with a spiked club appears. Stay somewhat distant from him until he takes a downward swing with his club. The impact with the ground stuns him momentarily, so use this time to unleash a combo. Repeat this a few times to defeat him.
6. Look to the left when facing the statue. There's a cave opening on the opposite wall.
7. When you see the enemies below in the next area, take note of the wooden crate. Jump down and Parry one of the enemies attacks, then Pounce by pressing A. Point the left thumbstick in the direction of the crate and press A again to throw. This will blow up the crate and kill the enemy.
8. Kill the remaining foes, then head to the corner of the room that has two sets of wooden planks running vertically. Wall jump up these by running up the right wall, then pressing A to jump to the left wall, then back again to the platform on the right.
9. Leap to the wooden platform ahead, then to the raised bit of ground. Move through this area to the next clearing.
10. Jump down to the right before you reach the bridge. Head towards the structure ahead and a group of enemies will appear. Throw one of them at the wooden crate, like you did last time, then kill the remaining enemies.
11. Run around this chasm and kill the last few enemies in the area. Look for a set of wooden planks along the walls. You can wall jump here to reach the ground above.
12. The first machine gun is on a platform to your left, but don't jump down yet. Instead, climb the wall ahead, then run along the wall to the next platform, where a Memento is located.
13. Drop back down to the machine gun. Kill the lone enemy here or knock him off the ledge, then kick the gun to destroy it.
14. From this platform, head through the enclosed path to the left of the bridge.Note that there's a Teddy Bear in the barrel to your left just after you cross the next bridge.
15. Continue along this path until you reach a wooden wall. Climb up and jump from the wall to the next platform.
16. Follow this path until you reach a couple more enemies on a bridge. Take then down quickly with a few X attacks and a Horizontal Perfect Slice.
17. Reaching the next machine gun is simple. After the bridge, climb up the wall to your right, then follow the ramp down.

1. Jump down to your left and kill the enemy near the gun. Kick the gun to destroy it, then slice the rope ahead.
2. Leap onto the broken bridge. Turn left at the end and head back all the way to the area with the statue. Climb up the wall in the middle of the area and go left. Jump from the statue's hand into the next opening in the wall.
3. Leap down in this area, and you'll have to fight some enemies. Take care of them with combos and Perfect Slices, then climb up the wall on the other side of the room.
4. In the next area, a group of enemies, including one of the large sword-bearing ones that you faced at the start of the level, will attack. Concentrate on the weaker ones first, taking them down with Horizontal Perfect Slices.
5. Now, take down the big guy the same way you did before. Knock him off balance with regular X attacks, then follow with a Vertical Perfect Slice. Repeat this a few times to finish him off.
6. As you walk down into this area, head to the left of the structure sticking out of the ground. A Memento lays just beyond here.
7. On wall at the opposite side of this structure, there's a narrow gap suitable for wall jumping. Use this to reach the higher ground.
8. At the top, a sniper will start shooting at you. Turn back to the wall you just climbed up, and jump up to the raised platform. Hop down and kill the sniper.
9. Jump back up to the raised platform and face the direction of the sniper. From here, you can see another platform to your left. Jump to it, then wall run to reach the bridge.
10. Two snipers will appear, followed by a group of enemies. Retreat into the enclosure behind you, where there's a Teddy Bear if you need it.
11. From here, you can fight the incoming enemies without being shot at. Take them down with quick Horizontal Perfect Slices. If you get surrounded, perform a sweeping kick when In Focus to knock the nearby enemies off their feet.
12. Now, run across the bridge to the gunmen and kill them with one perfect slice.
13. On this side of the bridge, there's another wall to run up. Head over here and grab the next Teddy Bear as you continue along this path. Jump between the wooden beams ahead to reach the next area.
14. Another enemy with a spiked club approaches. Kill him the same way you did before -- by waiting until his misses with his downward strike, then attacking with combos and Perfect Slices.
15. One more ninja will appear after you kill this enemy, but he's easily defeated with combos or a quick perfect slice. Head up the beam that leads to the rope, and cut it with a Vertical Perfect Slice.

1. Head through the opening on your left, taking you back out to the statue. Follow the path along the statue's arms until you reach a room with three ropes to cut.
2. Cut each of the ropes. Note that the level's fourth Memento is located just before the last rope.
3. A female assassin will taunt you from above and summon several enemies. Kill them in the usual way -- regular X and Y attacks followed by Horizontal Perfect Slices. Take advantage of the open space in this area and move around if you're surrounded.
4. After defeating this group, two Samurai and more female assassins will appear. Also, Ninja Ninja is in the corner of this area, and you can tag him to play Body Part Poker.
5. Kill the female assassins first with combos and horizontal slices. Then, concentrate on the Samurai. Defeat them by repeatedly hitting X twice and following with perfect slices.
6. Now, more female assassins will appear, along with one of the bigger sword wielding enemies. The girls will avoid your perfect slices this time, so use combos of a few X taps followed by a few Y presses. Kill the big guy the same way you've done twice before in this level.
7. Head out of this room the way you came in. Press down on the D-Pad to use Ninja Ninja as a guide if you can't find the exit.
1. Back at the statue, jump up to the higher platform just before you reach the enclosed area. Don't turn into the room on your right just yet. Instead, continue past it to the final Memento, earning you a new skill and "The Number Two" Achievement.
2. The new skills you learn here are charge attacks. After hitting either X or Y three times, you can charge either X or Y to perform a devastating attack.

1. Now, head into the boss room.
2. The boss is on a ledge that you can't reach, wielding an RPG launcher. To stop him, you have to stand in the middle of the arena and perform a "Bullet Slice" just as the grenade is coming your way.
3. Press LT as soon as you see and hear the grenade launch and immediately hold Y when you're In Focus. Let go of Y when Afro's blade flashes.
4. You'll see a cutscene, and the leader of the Empty Seven will jump to another platform to dodge the shrapnel. Then, he'll send some low-level ninjas your way.
5. Defeating these enemies is made more difficult with the boss throwing hand grenades at you. You'll get a view of him winding up in a separate screen when he's about to throw one. When this happens, stop attacking and run away from your current position to avoid the grenade.
6. Kill each enemy quickly with a few taps of X followed by a Horizontal Perfect Slice. Even if you're about to kill one of them, it's important to stop attacking if you see a grenade coming your way.
7. Once all three enemies are defeated, the Boss will go back to his RPG launcher. Use Bullet Slice to destroy the grenade again.
8. More ninjas will appear. Kill them using a similar strategy as before, but this time use Vertical Perfect Slices. You may have to hit the enemies with more regular attacks before finishing them off.
9. Note that there's a Teddy Bear to the right of the boss's perch if you need it.
10. Now, turn your attention back to the boss. Reflect another RPG to bring out one more group of ninjas. Use Horizontal Perfect Slices against them this time.
11. Slice up one more RPG from the boss to defeat him. This completes the level and gives you the Achievement for "The Path to Godhood."
