This is part 5 of our complete Afro Samurai game guide, featuring Doppleganger.

1. Before going forward, turn around and head along the path behind the starting point. The first Memento is located at the end of the broken bridge below.
2. A handful of enemies will come after you once you get the Memento. CAUTION: Do not use In Focus to beat these relatively easy enemies. Use regular combos to charge up your Overfocus for later. There's a Teddy Bear on the white platform before you head back up to the starting point.
3. Now, head over the bridge in front of you. Partway through, you'll be ambushed by a large enemy with a sword and a pack of female ninjas.
4. Start hitting the first two enemies with regular combos. When the crowd of other opponents gets close, hit LB to go into Overfocus. The surrounding enemies don't stand a chance against any of your attacks. Be sure to target the big sword-wielding enemy before this special power runs out.
5. Clean up the remaining smaller enemies before going after the big guy with the club.
6. Once they're defeated, run past this enemy to trigger a string of attacks. Stand clear until he pounds the ground with the club, then follow up with a combo of your own followed by a Horizontal Perfect Slice. Repeat this until the enemy is defeated.
7. The Empty Seven boss you faced last time emerges, and blows up the bridge. Hold down on the left thumbstick to run away from the explosion.
8. At the end of the bridge, you'll face another group of enemies. Take them down with regular combos, or use Perfect Slices if you're in trouble.
9. Move ahead to the elevator shaft. Cut the rope on the right side with a Horizontal Perfect Slice to send the elevator crashing down.
10. Use wall jumps to get up the shaft. At the top, go around to the left side of the shaft to grab the second Memento.
11. Continue forward across wooden platform. When you reach the wooden planks on the wall to your right, quickly jump to them to run along the wall. Jump from here to the wall on your left to reach the sniper. To be safe, you can also hold RT to block until the sniper shoots, then cross the gap.
12. Kill the sniper with a quick combo, then look on the right side of the platform, next to the bridge ahead, for the third Memento.
13. Go to the next platform for a fight with some robots. Ninja Ninja is waiting at the other end, so tag him if you want to play Body Part Poker. To get the "Gunshot Android Straight" Achievement, you have to cut off a head, leg and arm from these robots. Start with a Lightning Pounce by parrying and pouncing with A, then pressing X. To get the limbs, you'll have to line up Vertical Perfect Slices after weakening the enemies.
14. Kill the remaining Androids with Y combos followed by Horizontal Perfect Slices. Grab the Teddy Bear near Ninja Ninja's location and then head across the next bridge.

    • 1. Here, you'll fight the Doppleganger. This enemy copies your every move, so you'll have to find a weakness in its mimicry to defeat him. Here's how:
      2. Use a combo of four X attacks in a row, then hold RT to block. The Doppleganger will counterattack, then slide past you with one of his stronger slices. As soon as he's behind you, turn and enter In Focus. Hold Y and release it when you see Afro's blade shimmer. You'll see a cloud with electric sparks around The Doppleganger if you've done this correctly.
      3. Repeat this process once more and The Doppleganger will become more aggressive. Block his initial attacks, then counter with four X attacks again. When he counters and slides past you, hit him with another Vertical Perfect Slice to defeat him.
      4. The bridge will explode, just like the last one. Hold down on the left thumbstick to get to the other side.
      5. After some of the things you've been through in this level, tearing through the next batch of enemies should be easy. Use regular combos or perfect slices to kill the first group of enemies, then climb to the next platform and take out the Androids in the same way.
      6. Another group of humans will come rushing towards you. Again, hit them with a few X attacks, then finish them off with Horizontal Perfect Slices.
      7. Run along the wall to your right to reach the next platform, then climb up the ledge ahead. Before moving on, turn around to the way you came from. There's a plank that you can jump to from here. Follow this and jump to the next plank for another Memento
      8. Now, go back the way you came and continue forward along the ground path. Follow this path up the mountain. When you get to the broken bridge, you can climb up the narrow beam on the left side by lining your self up with it and walking forward.
      9. At the next platform, wait until you've defeated the incoming Androids before grabbing the Teddy Bear in front of you. They are easily beaten with Y attacks and Perfect Slices.
      10. Use a Vertical Perfect Slice to cut the elevator cable ahead, then jump between the walls in the shaft to reach the next area.
      11. Achievement: Don't go onto the bridge on your right just yet. Walk forward on this platform, past the bridge, to get the last Memento. You'll get an achievement for "The Death Bringer" and a new skill. This is similar to the last set of moves, where you can hold X or Y at the end of a combo, but this one allows you to first hit X three times followed by Y three times, or vice versa.

      12. 1. Now, head over the bridge. You'll be confronted by a group of red samurai called the Wild Five.
          2. These guys will block all of your normal attacks, but even unsuccessful slices will charge up your Overfocus. Hold RT to block their attacks, then counter with short combos of your own. After doing this several times, hit LB to enter Overfocus. Your attacks will slice through them with no problem.
          3. A large group of regular enemies follows. Kill them with the usual regular attacks followed by Horizontal Perfect Slices, then continue across the bridge.

             • 1. You'll see a cutscene as a flying robot snags Afro and carries him off in the air. Play resumes with Afro floating freely with the robot in front of him. Presumably, this is the Doppleganger in its true form.
               2. Afro can shift himself around in the air with the left thumbstick. This is useful for dodging when the robot swoops in for an attack.
               3. When the robot gets close, hit him with all you've got. String together X attacks until the enemy breaks free.
               4. Keep yourself protected by pressing 'RT when you aren't sure of the robot's whereabouts. This will also center Afro's view.
               5. Dodge the robot's rockets by holding down and to either side on the left thumbstick and holding RT. The rockets might hit Afro, but they'll cause minimal damage. When the robot lines you up with a blue laser sight, use the left thumbstick to avoid it.
               6. Keep hitting The Doppleganger with combos when it gets close. You'll see an occasional spatter of blood on the screen to indicate that your attacks are working. After roughly a half dozen solid attack strings, you'll knock the boss to the ground, completing the level and giving you the "Copy-Cat Killer" Achievement
