AFI is an alternative rock band formed in 1991 in Ukiah, California. AFI, which is short for A Fire Inside, was originally a high school band composed of Davey Havok (vocals), Mark Stopholese (guitar), Vic Chalker (bass) and Adam Carson (drums). AFI held summer tours and overseas performances with bands like Green Day, The Dear & Departed and Sick Of It All.
