  • Gameplay

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is a tactical/turn-based strategy game, in which you control an army of 2D military forces from a top-down view. When it's your turn, you select individual units (ground, sea or air) and move them across the grid to attack, harvest resources, and other actions. Each unit has the ability to level up while in battle, which imbues that unit with more advantages. In addition to normal units, you are also given control of COs (Commanding Officers), which have powerful special abilities, such as healing all allies, damaging all foes, or altering the weather. You can win a battle by either eliminating each of your enemy's units, or by capturing their headquarters. The main single player campaign consists of 26 main missions, as well as 38 training missions that are unlocked as you play the game.
