- Adult Swim is a block of late-night cartoon programming aimed at adult humor tastes. The program airs on the Cartoon Network after 10pm when standards are loosened and more adult material can be shown. This is in stark contract to the day time programming of the station which broadcast kid friendly cartoons. The show has been considered a separate channel by its owners and Nielsen Media Research for the purpose of ratings tracking.
