Adult nursing relationships are intimate adult relationships in which nursing, that is, breastfeeding, is performed by adults for the purposes of intimate, emotional, physical or sexual stimulation and comfort.
There are also many psychological and health reasons why adult nursing relationships and adult breastfeeding is a healthy choice for mature individuals in a consenting adult relationship. While some adult nursing relationships are sexual in nature, most are intimate relationships that may or may not include sexual intimacy.
Outside of adult nursing relationships, adult breastfeeding is used by some cancer patients because it is hypo allergenic, full of calories and fat, helps with appetite and easy to digest, for patients using chemotherapy.
Adult Nursing Without Lactation
Adult nursing can occur with or without lactation. Adult nursing relationships can be male/female relationships, female/female relationships, and the relationships do not have to be sexual, though often there is an intimate and/or sexual component.
When an adult nursing relationship occurs without lactation, one partner will suckle the breast of the female who is nursing the adult. In a non-lactating adult nursing relationship, the female does not lactate, that is, she doesn't produce breast milk and the other partner does not actually breastfeed, but still nurses from the breast by suckling.
This type of intimate relationship can be a prelude to sexual interaction or can be an intimate bonding experience by itself. There is an emotional and psychological comfort some people receive from this suckling/bonding relationship.
It should be noted that adult nursing relationships without lactation can easily cause the female to lactate or re-lactate without her chosen to do so, because the breast will lactate with enough stimulation. If lactation isn't desire, suckling and breast massaging should be limited to only occasional.
