Diego Pillco was sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to first degree manslaughter for the killing of director and actress Adrienne Shelly. Pillco was a 20 year old construction worker doing renovations in the building that Shelly had an office. He admitted to strangling the actress and hanging her to make it look like a suicide. Shelly's husband, Andy Ostroy, called Pillco "nothing more than a cold-blooded killer" and "murderous beast".
