Adrian Dantley is a former NBA small forward. He played 15 years in the NBA, seven of which for the Utah Jazz. After copping the Rookie of the Year while with the Buffalo Braves Dantley was traded around the NBA until he landed at the Utah Jazz roster. While playing for the Jazz, Dantley established himself as a prolific scorer, leading the league twice in scoring and averaged over 30 points-per-game between 1981 and 1984. Dantley retired from the NBA in 1991. He was enshrined to Basketball Hall of Fame batch 2008 Dantley played for Indiana, Los Angeles, Utah, Detroit, Dallas and Milwaukee. Dantley is a fierce defender and a fiery scorer since he is ninth in the NBA career-scoring list. His 0.540 field-goal percentage shooting clip is one of the highest posted by a non-center player and he submitted an awesome average of 30+ points per game for four straight seasons.
Dantley's achievements on the court were indeed remarkable, he was selected to the All-NBA Second Team 1981, and 1984. A feisty scorer he was voted as NBA Rookie of the Year in 1977. His gutsy playing attitude and never say die attitude helped him annexed the NBA Comeback Player of the Year in 1984.
Dantley’s stars shines even further as he was a NBA All-Star in 1980, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, and 1986. And last but definitely not the least he was a member of the United States Basketball Team that clinched the elusive Olympic gold medal in 1976.http://www.nba.com/history/players/dantley_bio.html
