Adoration is a 2008 film written and directed by Atom Egoyan. The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or and was awarded the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.

A high school French teacher assigns her class a creative writing translation exercise on a real life terrorist bombing. In the terrorist act a man planted a bomb in the suitcase of his unsuspecting girlfriend. One student, played by Devon Bostick, takes the idea a step further. In order to examine the life of his own parents, he re-imagines the terrorist story as if the events happened to them. Upon reading the well written piece, the teacher asks the student to present the story as fact to the class. The idea being to spark a social experiment within the classroom. The act creates a controversial chain of events that effects everyone in the class and the community.
