History
By 1998 Adobe had lost most of the professional desktop publishing market to its competitor Quark Express. Their once popular application PageMaker, was no longer the leading application in the field. They begin working on Indesign and released version 1.0 in 1999. In 2002, it was the first desktop publishing application that could run naively in Mac OS X. As new versions were released and functional expanded, InDesign has begun to increase market share once again. The latest version CS3, was released on April 2007. -
