Greek schoolteacher Adamantia Karkali was allegedly beheaded by her boyfriend, Thanassis Arvanitis, after a heated argument. Arvanitis's Capture
After beheading Karkali, Arvanitis allegedly walked through the village displaying the head to passersby. After police arrived, Arvanitis reportedly threw Karkali's head into a patrol car, knifed an officer, stole another patrol car and ran over two women riding a motorcycle, before being shot five times by police.
