Adam Foote

  • Career Highlights

    Foote began his career in 1988 in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He was then drafted 22nd overall in the 1989 NHL Draft by the Quebec Nordiques. He continued in the OHL until 1992 when he made his NHL debut with the Nordiques. In 1995, Foote relocated with the franchise as they became the Colorado Avalanche. Just the next year, Foote helped the team as they won the 1996 Staley Cup Championship. The team repeated this glory in 2001, defeating the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup Finals. Foot played for the Avalanche until 2004, when he became a free agent and did not play during the NHL Lockout. In 2005, Foote returned to the NHL, signing with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He played nearly three seasons with the Blue Jackets, then was traded back to the Avalanche on February 26, 2008.
