Adam Dunn made his MLB debut in 2001 with the Reds and was selected as a National League All-Star in 2002. After making his Major League debut, Dunn hit 12 home runs in the month of August, the most for a National League rookie in one month. In 2004, Dunn set a Cincinnati Reds franchise record with 46 home runs. He also joined Joe Morgan as the only Reds players to score 100 runs, hit for 100 RBIs and draw 100 walks in one season. In 2004, he broke the Major League strikeout record with 195 for the season. Ryan Howard would beat the record in 2007 with 199 strikeouts.
