• Adam Baldwin is an American actor known for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, as Jayne Cobb in Firefly. Baldwin was discovered by director Tony Bill while attending high school in Illinois, and was then cast as the title character in the film My Bodyguard. After playing one of his most familiar roles, Animal Mother in Full Metal Jacket, Baldwin went on to play several supporting roles in film and television. In 2002 Baldwin landed another role in the Joss Whedon sci-fi Firefly. Despite being pulled from the air after only 11 of the 14 produced episodes aired, Firefly developed a rabidly loyal fanbase. In 2005, he reprised his role as Jayne Cobb when high DVD sales of Firefly greenlit a film version, Serenity. Baldwin currently plays NSA agent John Casey on the NBC hit comedy-spy series Chuck
