Acura TL

The Acura TL is a mid-size luxury sport sedan made by Honda.http://www.honda.com/ It debuted in 1995 and is currently in its fourth generation of designs. The first generation of the TL ran from 1995-1998. It replaced the Acura Vigor and had two different engines offered to choose from: an inline 5 engine and a V6 engine.http://www.edmunds.com/acura/tl/review.html

The second generation came out for the 1999 model year and ran through 2003. Several improvements were made during this period, notably the Type-S version in 2002, incorporating the variable valve timing from Honda, and an optional navigation system.http://www.edmunds.com/acura/tl/review.html

Third generation vehicles came in two types during the 2004-2008 period, the base and the Type-S. The Type-S model had the superior V6 engine, as well as better brakes, a sport-tuned suspension and additional styling that the base model did not have. 2009 saw the advent of the fourth generation with a different look boasting more drama. It has more interior room, is more powerful, and starting with its second year, a manual transmission is also offered. There are two trims offered: base or SH-AWD Both have V6 engines, but the latter is slightly more powerful as well as being all wheel drive instead of front wheel only. Both come with the 5 speed automatic transmission standard, with the manual transmission being an option for the SH-AWD, as well as better brakes and several other upgrades.
